The problem it solves
Why this step exists, and what it changes.
When dead skin cells accumulate, light stops bouncing evenly. Your complexion looks dull, feels rough, and expensive serums sit on top of dead buildup instead of absorbing. Physical scrubs cause micro-tears, while weak toners do nothing. Resurface Toner solves this chemical buildup cleanly.
How it works on the skin
Formulated with 5% glycolic acid, the smallest alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) molecule. It dissolves the microscopic bonds binding dead, discolored cells to the surface, allowing them to sweep away cleanly. Organic cranberry and lingonberry extracts provide antioxidant defense, while natural humectants buffer the acid to prevent barrier disruption.
What is in it
- 5% Glycolic Acid (AHA)The clinical gold standard for chemical resurfacing, clearing dull texture and smoothing rough patches.
- BetaineSugar beet humectant that prevents post-exfoliation dehydration and calms the skin.
- Sodium PCABinds water to fresh, newly revealed surface cells.
- Cranberry Fruit ExtractCertified organic botanical antioxidant that shields newly exposed cells from free radical damage.
- Vegan

How to use it
- 01In the evening, cleanse and let your skin dry thoroughly.
- 02Saturate a cotton round and sweep gently across face and neck, avoiding the eye area. Do not rinse.
- 03Follow with your hydrating serum and moisturizer. Use 2 to 3 evenings a week only.
- How often
- A few evenings a week
- Where in the routine
- An optional fourth step, on the evenings you use it. After cleansing, before serum and moisturizer.
Who it is for. And who it is not.
Buy it if
- Your skin looks flat and feels rough, and no amount of moisturizer shifts it.
- Foundation and concealer cling to dry patches or settle into uneven texture.
- You are committed to wearing broad-spectrum sunscreen every morning.
Skip it if
- Your skin is highly sensitive or flushing. An acid is the wrong tool for it. Hydrate Toner is the step that goes there instead.
- You will not wear sunscreen the next day. Exfoliated skin requires daytime UV protection.
- You are already using Purify Toner. We never combine two exfoliating acids in one routine.
Label warning, word for word
Afterwards during the day use a sunscreen to protect the skin from sun exposure.

Can You Use Glycolic Acid and Vitamin C Together?
Yes. Vitamin C in the morning, glycolic acid on its two or three evenings, and they never meet. Why the pH worry is mostly about pure ascorbic acid.

Glycolic Acid for Skin: What It Does and How Often to Use It
The smallest AHA. It loosens dead surface cells so they shed; at 5% it improved texture and discoloration against placebo. Two or three nights a week.
